I have been involved with MEDP since its inception and have found it to be a very dynamic organization. The goal from the beginning has been to encourage creation and involvement to improve the Economic climate of Macoupin County. We believe that through hard work, community participation and a County wide cooperative spirit, we can accomplish the goals we have set for the organization. I would encourage any and all businesses in Macoupin County to get acquainted with and involved in MEDP. Our efforts today will drive what the future looks like tomorrow.

As a Public/Private Partnership MEDP has the advantage of direct involvement from county officials, mayors and private business people sitting around the table working together to grow economic development for Macoupin County. The many years of experience on the MEDP board coupled with the years of experience Shari Albrecht, our Executive Director, brings with her puts us in a great position to assist and retain local businesses as well as work with businesses interested in locating in our area. Karmak is proud to be one of the charter members of MEDP.
