Our Mission: Through dynamic leadership and effective use of public and private support, the Macoupin Economic Development Partnership drives economic growth in the county by conducting and sponsoring activities that help existing businesses prosper and grow, attract new businesses, and promote responsible development.
MEDP’s Goals:
- Conduct and sponsor activities that make major contributions to the continuing prosperity and growth of existing businesses.
- Attract new business and development that brings good paying jobs, contributes significantly to the tax base, and overall helps strengthen and diversify the economy.
- Provide leadership and support to help complete capital development projects that have major implications for economic and community development.
- Establish and continually reinforce wide public awareness, understanding, and appreciation for economic and community development and MEDP’s role and impact towards that effort.
- Raise financial income streams to a level that can support and sustain ongoing operations, capital and other investments, and major development initiatives.
- Provide leadership and direction to promote economic and community development, and to nurture the next generation of community leaders.
- Build an organization that is efficient, effective, and accountable.
